**Technical Officer (Lab / QC Support) - Located in Granville Industrial Estate, Dungannon.**

An excellent opportunity has arisen to join Westland Horticulture Ltd. working in a quality control/ technical research function within our in-house analytical lab as a Technical Officer.

**Main Duties**:

- Check and verify all equipment and process controls.
- Monthly control checks all products are running within spec.
- Check the integrity of all the raw materials.
- Verify the blending process is running within specification.
- Responsible for finished product technical specs including labelling protocol to ensure product mix is accurate.
- Liaise with technical and maintenance staff for special planned or unscheduled events e.g. product development evaluation.
- Quality Control process review.
- Quality reporting.

**Knowledge Skills & Experience**:

- Minimum of 5 GCSE’s A-C including Math and English or equivalent.
- A-Level Chemistry or equivalent is essential
- 6-months relevant laboratory experience - this may have been gained due placement.
- Experience and ability to demonstrate the use of analytical techniques.

**Desirable**:

- Degree background in science.
- Quality Control background in manufacturing
- High degree of self-discipline, organisation, adaptability, and prioritisation.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, especially in times of peak demand.
