Due to expansion of the business, the company Technologies require a Power Systems Solutions Engineer who is hard-working and self-motivated individual to grow the current team of specialists.

The role involves contributing to the development of a wide range products and solutions from telematics hardware for vehicles, to monitoring and control systems for off grid energy systems.

The role will involve working closely with software and firmware engineers to develop whole solutions to meet customers' needs.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Development of system concepts
- Preparation of system requirements
- Liaison with customers to determine operational needs and preparation of quotes
- Program and statement of work development
- Detailed design.
- Schematic and wiring detail
- Bills of material
- Test planning and verification
- Program management and reporting
- Electrical system build
- Analysis and optimisation of energy systems. Activities to include;
- Review and load analysis of power systems
- Implementation management of design changes to meet carbon footprint requirements
- Renewable energy system design and analysis. Activities to include;
- System load analysis
- Modelling of energy contribution from renewable sources
- Detailed system design
- Cost of ownership analysis
- Electronic hardware development
- Schematic capture and PCB development
- Fault finding and failure analysis
- Electronic test
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures and business ethics codes including anti-bribery policy and Environmental and Quality Management System (compliant with ISO 9001 and 14001)

**Skills/ Experience Required**:

- Engineering degree or equivalent
- Minimum of 2 years' experience in power system design and development utilising;
- Standalone generator sets
- Renewable power sources such as wind generators and solar
- Industrial installations - multiphase low voltage switchgear
- Telecoms rectifiers
- Battery storage systems - Li-ion and lead acid
- System grounding and lightning protection
- Good understanding and implementation of BS7671 wiring regulations 18th edition
- PLC programming skills
- PCB design using Easy-PC or Cadence
- Proven practical skills in equipment build, wiring and soldering to high standards
- Self-driven, focused, results and quality oriented
- Creation of technical documentation and project files to a high standard
- Effective communication both verbally and in written form
- Computer literate - must be a proficient user of Microsoft suite of packages including Teams and Office
