**Looking for a Caretaker/Buildings Officer to work at a school in Sheffield.**

**Short term cover due to sick leave.**

**IMMEDIATE START***

**MUST HAVE A CURRENT DBS.**

TO PROVIDE A SERVICE TO THE SITE CONSISTING OF SECURITY OF PREMISES, LIGHTING, HEATING, CLEANING, MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION OF PLANT, PORTERAGE AND HANDY PERSON DUTIES, TO PROVIDE AN EFFICIENT SUPPORT SERVICE TO THE SITE USERS AND COMMUNITY GROUPS.

**Duties Include**:

- _Making sure the venue is opened correctly in the morning and locked up at the end of the school day._
- _Ensuring on a constant basis that the venue is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness and tidiness._
- _Ensuring that all parcels are dealt with and signed for._
- _Manual handling, deliveries and furniture moving._
- _Some cleaning duties may be required._
- _Maintenance duties such as painting, gardening, etc._
- _Dealing with any other maintenance issues that arise, directly where appropriate or by engaging with contractors._
- _Ensuring that all operational procedures are followed e.g. Lock-up and Fire._
- _Being responsible for the security of the facilities when locking up._
- _As a key-holder, assuming responsibility for safekeeping of the keys/passes and report immediately any loss, or compromise of security._
- _Dealing with all contractors._
- _Helping out on gate duty at the arrival of pupils and the departure of pupils._
- _Public Point of Contact._
- _Meeting and greeting all staff members in a professional and friendly manner_
- _Conducting yourself accordingly around the children and staff at all times._

Must have previous experience. You should have good standards of both in written and spoken English and be IT competent, with basic IT and working with mobile and online functions.

Need people who are punctual, can think on their feet and are friendly.

**Hours**: 0800-1600, Monday - Friday.

**Pay**: The pay is £12.75 p/h.

**Job Type**: Part-time

**Salary**: £12.75 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week
