Location: Priest Engineering Co (Poole) Ltd, Holton Heath Trading Park, Poole BH16

Pay rate/Salary: £12-£15, Dependant on experience.

Hours of Work: 7.30AM - 4.30PM (Monday to Thursday) 7:30AM - 12:30PM (Friday) 39 hours per week, all overtime paid at time + half.

Type: Permanent / Full-time

We are hiring for a Fettler to clean, deburr, polish, grind and surface finish metal parts to customer specifications. Priest Engineering Co (Poole) Ltd, are an AS9100 company who supply the Aerospace, Defence & Nuclear Industries predominantly. This is a very friendly environment and you will be an important part of this team helping to achieve company goals and standards in sheet metal work, and welded fabrications.

Duties of a Fettler

You will be responsible for -:

- Deburr components to job pack instructions and drawing requirements.
- Drill, countersink, edge break, chamfer, trim down, polish, graining, saw and tap components to job pack instructions and drawing requirements.
- Measure/inspect to drawing tolerance requirements against engineering drawings - using Vernier callipers, plug gauges, slip blocks and fixtures.
- Ensure that the correct Personal Protective Equipment is worn at all times on every job that is carried out.
- Use of power (abrasive discs/pads and flap wheels) and hand tools (files, abrasive, deburr tools) to achieve conforming parts.
- Any other reasonable management request.

Skills and experience of a Fettler

You need previous experience in Fettling metals or as a Fettler.
- Sheet metal experience with a variety of metals
- Self-motivated and focused, with a flexible attitude
- Good attention to detail, with high levels of accuracy & a commitment to quality
- Looking to build a career in a fast-paced business.

It would be beneficial to the Fettler role if you also had:

- Commutable access to BH16
- Strong communication, team working & people skills
