Trainee Upholsterer

P & A Wood are specialists in the restoration, repair and maintenance of all models of Rolls-Royce and Bentley motor cars, with a worldwide customer base. We are an authorised Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Dealer and a Bentley Authorised Service Dealer.

We are currently inviting people who are looking to start or further their career as a trimmer / upholsterer to learn about our business.

You will be dismantling and refitting car interiors and components and will learn to work with a variety of materials, including fine leathers, ash frames, carpets, headlining and hoods.

Some knowledge in sewing and skiving, hand stitching and binding an advantage.

You will learn the art of restoring traditional sprung seat cases, frames, remanufacturing or repairing wood structures and will be working with both power and hand tools.

Most importantly you must have the desire and passion for the work you do and to use those skills with a company known for its ‘Attention to Detail’.

Hours of work are 7.30 - 5.30 Monday to Friday

Pay is negotiable, dependent on experience, skills and knowledge.

We offer 28 days paid annual leave per annum rising to 30 days after 2 years service and membership of our profit share scheme after a qualifying period.
