Sports Trader

Role Purpose: Reporting to the Sports Trading Manager, the Sports Trader role is to provide effective day to day execution of trading tasks, as well as monitoring of liabilities and live odds. Sports Traders will also contribute towards retrospective analysis of reports and improvements to the overall product.

**Responsibilities**:

- Content Management - Ensure events and markets are made available to customers at the appropriate time
- Odds Management - Perform proactive checks on pre-match odds, ensure margins conform with trading strategies and resolve any pricing concerns
- Player Markets Management - Maintain database of player odds and ensure player markets made available to customers are accurate and up to date
- Long Term Content Management - Research and compile odds for long term Sports content using data-driven approaches and analytical methods. Ensure appropriate markets are made available for customers in a timely manner
- Customer Management - Provide real-time analysis of customer behavior and manage customers & product with profiling, noting and behavioural analysis
- Support Trading Desk in daily operational events and communicate any issues in real-time to Trading Desk and/or product owners, taking direct ownership to resolve any issues if possible.
- Liability Control - Report escalating liabilities and take action when required. Ensure limits are appropriate across the whole Sports product.
- Product Development - Contribute to the ongoing development of new products and features including thorough testing

**Knowledge, skills and experience**:

- Strong numerical ability, preferably with a degree in a mathematical discipline
- Can clearly demonstrate knowledge of bookmaking principles
- Ability to work flexibly around weekends, evenings and bank holidays
- Must be collaborative by nature and a real team player

**Office Policy**:
We are currently operating a hybrid working policy that will require traders to be able to attend the office in Aldgate, London, as required by the business.
