Job Title: Head of Pension Administration
Location: London Borough of Sutton, United Kingdom
Pay rate: £600 Per day
37 Hours per week
Job:
**Responsibilities**:
1. Lead and direct the work of the Pension Administration department, implementing policies in line with both organizational objectives and legal compliance.
2. Oversee the day-to-day management and administration of the pension scheme.
3. Ensure compliance with all current local and national legislative requirements relating to pensions.
4. Offer expert advice and guidance to the Senior Management Team on changes in pension's legislation, impact assessments and future strategy.
5. Close cooperation with HR department to ensure employees are fully aware and understand their pension rights and options.
6. Oversee the calculation of complex pension benefits.
7. Develop and maintain relationships with beneficiaries, trustees, and other stakeholders.
8. Oversee and coordinate annual audits, dealing directly with auditors to answer queries and provide necessary information.
Qualifications:
1. Degree in Business Administration, Finance, or related field.
2. Extensive experience in pension administration, preferably in the public sector.
3. Solid understanding of UK pension legislation and regulations.
4. Excellent leadership and team management skills.
5. High proficiency in numerical calculations and financial analysis.
6. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate complex information clearly.
7. High level of integrity and discretion while dealing with sensitive information.
The role will be for a year at a Head of Service level and have responsibility for approximately 25 staff. The role is largely based at Sutton but with some attendance required in Kingston to attend Pension Panel & Pension Board meetings. We offer hybrid working so some working at home is fine.
