Field Trials Officer

One of our partners, VCS Agronomy, are recruiting a Field Trails Officer for our site in Brandon.

VCS (UK) Ltd provides independent agronomy services to a wide range of field crops in the UK and abroad. We specialise in root vegetable, arable and premium value niche crop production, both conventionally and organically. In addition to the agronomy and consultancy business, VCS operates an ORETO certified trials team, specializing in field vegetable and niche crop production.

As a Trials Officer for VCS, you will play a pivotal role in the delivery of industry-leading trials across a variety of crops, contributing to the advancement of sustainable food production.

Additional Responsibilities Include:

- Data collection, management and reporting.
- Taking ownership of individual trials, ensuring adherence to protocol specifications and accountability for data integrity.
- Cultivating strong relationships with key grower contacts to optimize trial site placements.
- Maintaining trial equipment, ensuring calibration and upkeep while keeping records updated.
- Collaborating with other team members to support the wider activities ongoing at VCS.

Skills, Qualifications, and Experience Required:

- Practical Trials experience is desired, but not essential.
- Practical farm work experience, within any capacity, is essential.
- Experience with a tractor is desired, but not essential.
- High level of organization with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to adapt to seasonal needs and workload demands is required.

This is a full-time, permanent position. Pay is DOE.

Pay: £27,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
