Reports to**:Subsea Technical Director**

**What will you do**:

- Familiarise with current equipment specification and identify opportunities for development to support remote environmental workscopes;
- Identify new sensor technologies requirements and work with the Subsea Technology sensing and control teams to assess integration and operational feasibility;
- Work with business development and tendering teams to identify market opportunities for environmental data collection and feedback technical readiness of current solutions;
- Work with departmental budget holders to identify cost models for new technology integrations and developments;
- Develop roadmap and implementation strategy for environmental sensing capabilities for the business;
- Build a team of technicians and engage software development teams to establish a community focussed on environment sensing and data representation to our clients;
- Liaise with Marine Data Solution team in regard to data management and advise on product servicing to end users;
- Support remote survey operations team in developing standard operating procedures for new technologies;
- Build and manage training program content for new technicians and operatives;
- Be conversant in complex project management tools such as MS Project, Office365 tools and/or Atlassian suite of tools;
- Support recruitment, budget and overall department strategy planning.

**Who you are**:

- Over 8 years experience in sensing integrations, operations or product development;
- Experience in metocean sensing, data processing, passive acoustic monitoring and/or image digitisation/classification;
- Strong understanding of quality management such as standards, regulations and applicable policies and procedures;
- Ability to take ownership and engagement in the work;
- Ability to work as a trusted advisor with senior stakeholders;
- Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize work in a fast-paced environment;
- Driven, proactive and able to work autonomously with little supervision towards the company’s purpose;
- Critical thinking and ability to show initiative;
- Open and receptive to new and different ideas;
- Enthusiastic about protecting people and the planet.

**Desirable**:

- Experience in Software Development, Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning techniques.
