MOD is currently recruiting for a Lead Assurer to join our team on a remote basis, for a 12-month contract.

**As a Lead Assurer, your main responsibilities would be**:

- The DIO Lead Assurer role is responsible for the oversight and management of Defence Infrastructure related business cases.
- Working with Subject Matter Experts they carry out assurance on business cases valued over £1m and provide a recommendation to the DIO’s Infrastructure Approvals Board on whether cases should be endorsed or approved.
- The post is also responsible for ensuring that BCs conform to the requirements of JSP 655/507 and other related Departmental guidance.
- The DIO Lead Assurer, will engage with Project Teams and advise them on the approvals process. (This engagement is through attendance at Kick Off meetings, PAGs and GWRs as well as through more informal ongoing dialogue with projects teams and Requirements Managers)
- This post will give the team sufficient bandwidth to manage the changes coming forward and step up the training and guidance given to others, to help cases move through the system swiftly.

**Essential**:

- Familiar with the 5 part business case model
- Familiar with government approvals regimes
- Ability to deal with stakeholders at all levels
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent written and verbal communication.

**Desirable**:

- Knowledge of JSP655
- Knowledge of Defence / DIO- Please be aware that this role can only be worked within the UK and not Overseas._
