The Yeovil Home Treatment Team are looking to recruit a full-time Band 3 Support Time & Recovery worker.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced support worker to join our Home Treatment service based at Holly Court in Yeovil.

The role involves working within a dynamic and supportive multidisciplinary team who provide rapid assessment and intensive support to service users presenting in acute mental health crisis.

We recognise that treatment for and recovery from acute mental illness is best provided in a patient’s own home and as a service we aim to support this as an alternative to hospital admission. The Home Treatment service work with a diversity of clients with varying mental health difficulties and presentations, as such, this post would provide valuable clinical experience and client-contact for graduates hoping to pursue a career in clinical psychology, psychotherapy or other mental health roles.

There is a requirement to work a shift pattern that provides 24-hour service 7 days a week, 365 days of the year, with scope to include ST&R workers in night shifts moving forwards.

To provide support and time to an allocated group of patients with more complex needs and thus promote their recovery and maintain them in their community environment and assist those who are inpatients in their return home.

To assist the professionally qualified team members to assess, plan, implement and evaluate care plans.

This position requires a full UK driving licence.

The post holder is required to be able to complete Prevention and Management of Violence and Aggression training to a level as required by the role.

The post holder must have the ability to work unsocial hours across a 24/7 shift pattern as required by the service.

To undertake such other duties as may be determined from time to time within the general scope of the post.
