**Head of People** for the Programme and Project Partners (PPP) at Sellafield - Warrington or Cumbria (with hybrid working arrangements in place)**

An opportunity to shape the people strategy for one of the largest infrastructure partnerships in the North.

In 2019, the Programme and Project Partners (PPP) model was mobilised as the multi-billion-pound vehicle to deliver a 20-year pipeline of major capital projects at the Sellafield site, located on the edge of the Lake District in the Northwest of England.

The model brought together four global organisations to work with Sellafield Ltd to help create a clean and safe environment for future generations, by delivering the largest portfolios of complex major projects in the country, creating nuclear storage facilities that will keep the UK safe. Each partner has a distinct and vital role, and collaboration between them and Sellafield Ltd is at the heart of the PPP model.

The PPP partners are:
KBR as the Integrator; Jacobs as the Design and Engineering Partner; Morgan Sindall Infrastructure as the Civil Construction Partner and Altrad Babcock as Process Construction Partner.

Sellafield Ltd is the client and Fifth Partner in PPP’s delivery organisation, working alongside the four partners to enable success through an effective Client Team focused on enabling the ambitions of PPP while governing and assuring PPP's performance.

**Position Overview**:
As PPP’s Head of People you will play a vital role in shaping and executing the partnership’s people strategy. Your primary responsibility will be to develop and implement HR policies and initiatives that align with PPP’s overall goals and promote a positive work culture. You will lead a team of HR professionals and collaborate closely with senior leaders, partners and our client ensuring that the partnership attracts, retains, and develops top talent. You’ll be part of our Senior Leadership Team acting as the key people interface across our partners.

Leading PPP’s People Function comes with a unique set of demands, bringing together ways of working and established cultures from five partners and their Supply Chain to craft a solution which enables successful delivery of our programme, recognising the impact this can have on our people.

**Key Responsibilities**:
Develop and Implement People Strategy:

- Design and execute a comprehensive people strategy that aligns with the partnership’s mission, vision, and objectives in line with PPP’s strategy.
- Identify the steps which will make PPP one of the country’s best places to work, drawing the best and most diverse talent from across the partnership, the supply chain community and beyond.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to identify key areas for improvement and implement effective HR programs and initiatives.

Talent Acquisition and Management:

- Oversee the talent acquisition process, including recruitment, selection, and onboarding of employees.
- Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain top engineering talent, ensuring a diverse and inclusive workforce.
- Design and deploy a best-in-class Employer Brand and Employee Value Proposition to attract and retain talent and enhance the reputation of the organisation.
- Building quality relationships within partner organisations to ensure PPP is able to draw on the best talent from within their broader businesses.

Performance Management:

- Develop and implement performance management systems and processes to align employee goals with business objectives across the partnership.
- Support managers in providing regular feedback, coaching, and development opportunities to optimize employee performance and growth.

Social Impact:

- Develop and manage the PPP Social Impact Strategy and how we align projects to “Sellafield Impact Multiplied”
- Ensure alignment of Social Impact with the requirements defined in the PPP business case and deliver plans which make a tangible impact on our local communities.
- Improve & refine PPP Social Impact measurement/reporting in line and beyond industry best-practice

Employee Engagement and Development:

- Drive initiatives to foster a positive work culture, employee engagement, and retention. Implement strategies to enhance employee satisfaction, well-being, and work-life balance. - Develop and deliver training and development programs to nurture talent and support professional growth.
- Govern mandatory training and ensure compliance with Nuclear Site Licence Conditions.
