Our services fall under three core pillars: strategy, user research and design. As we continue to grow, we are seeking a talented and experienced UX Healthcare Strategist to join our dynamic team.

We’re headquartered in Brighton, with our teams working hybrid and remotely across the UK.
As a Healthcare UX Strategist at Graphite Digital, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the UX strategy department. You will be the strategic contact for Graphite’s high-profile health and pharma clients aligning the UX direction with the goals of their business and the needs of their customers.
You will have a focus on understanding and addressing the unique needs and challenges of different healthcare stakeholders and you will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including digital product, research, design and engineering to develop and execute UX strategies that drive meaningful impact.
You will be fundamental in supporting the growth and transformation of the agency.
**Key responsibilities**
User research and analysis:
- Work with our Clinical UX researchers to plan comprehensive user research to gain insights into the needs, behaviours, and pain points of healthcare professionals, patients and consumers.
- Analyse and define business and category priorities, market trends, industry best practice
- Draw insight from user feedback and site data to inform UX strategy and design decisions.
UX strategy development:
- Develop and communicate clear strategies aligned with business goals and user needs.
- Define user personas, user journeys, and use cases to guide the design and development process.
- Collaborate with digital product management and design teams to build roadmaps and prioritise features / enhancements based on strategic objectives and user feedback.
- Design and facilitate strategic workshops to deliver for senior clients
Measurement and optimisation
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of UX strategies and digital products.
- Continuously monitor user feedback, usability testing results, and data analytics to identify opportunities for improvement and optimisation.
Healthcare domain expertise:
- Deepen understanding of healthcare industry regulations, standards, and workflows.
- Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and innovations in healthcare UX/UI design and share this knowledge internally
- Create thought leadership content for Graphite and speak/network at industry events
Cross-functional collaboration:
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure alignment and integration of UX and wider strategies throughout the product development lifecycle.
- Advocate for user-centred design principles and best practices across the organisation.
- Strong relationship with commercial with a good understanding of how to price work and the value of it
- Collaborate with the Graphite Marketing team to positioning strategy (results) at the heart of client/customer success stories
**Key requirements**
- Pharma & healthcare experience is a must for this role - and a passion for the sector
- Minimum 5 years agency experience in strategy, but significant relevant client-side experience also considered
- Demonstrated data-driven strategic mindset, success at growing accounts, proactively seeking new opportunities and revenue streams
- Line management experience, training mentoring and coaching strategy teams
- Excellent facilitation, diplomacy and negotiation skills, enabling you to have difficult conversations with the client and team with ease
- Willingness to travel to Brighton office for key company events, and ad hoc travel to industry events to be agreed
**Qualifications & skills**:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), User Experience Design, Psychology, or related field.
- Strong understanding of user-centred design principles and methodologies.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate user insights into actionable UX strategies.
- Experience working in an Agile development environment is preferred.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively engage with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and standards (e.g., HIPAA, GDPR) is a plus.
