Goods-in Storesperson

Precision Investment Castings Ltd, part of the Erlson Group, is a manufacturing company based in Altrincham specialising in steel & aluminium castings for the Aerospace, Defence and Oil and Gas Industries.

We are currently looking to recruit a Goods-In Storesperson to be responsible for overseeing all aspects of inventory management, including the receipt, storage and distribution of Goods.

**Duties/Responsibilities**
- Ensure an efficient, tidy, clean and safe working environment in the storage areas
- Organise, Identify, Store stock so it is easily accessible
- To receive and unload goods delivered and move to their designated location
- Check delivery documentation is accurate before processing
- Manage computerised stock control system (Synchro) and record all movements into and out of stores and production
- Segregate and investigate non-conformances and alert relevant site personnel
- Carry out regular Stock Takes and highlight goods requiring replenishment - communicate any stock shortages/discrepancies
- Coordinate with the Purchasing Team to ensure timely delivery of goods
- Collaborate with other departments to forecast inventory needs and plan accordingly
- Ensure materials are issued only where appropriate materials stores requisitions have been provided
- Manage consumable packaging stock effectively - re-ordering

Additional Duties
- Weigh Scrap for Sale / Revert
- Organise collection of Scrap for PI and Turbotech
- To receive and unload goods delivered and move to their designated location for Turbotech
- Transportation of Turbotech Consumables
- Issue Turbotech Stock Requisitions
- Unloading Sub-contract deliveries
- Ensure all yard areas are kept tidy
- Control movement of WIP within the production areas

**Required Skills and Abilities**
- Experience in warehouse operations and Inventory Management
- Clean Driving Licence (to drive FLT on road)
- Proficient in using computer based inventory management systems
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

**Hours of work**:
Expected hours: 37 per week (early finish Friday)

Mon - Thurs 8:00 am - 4:30 pm with 30 minutes unpaid break

Friday 8:00 am - 1:00 pm

**Salary**:
£12 - £14 per hour depending on level of experience using computer based inventory systems, and whether FLT qualified.
