**Facilities Engineer - Multi-skilled / Electrical **
Springfield Hospital opened in 1987 and is one of Essex’s leading private hospitals. It is a 64 bedded hospital all with ensuite facilities, with parent and child rooms, a 14 bed Day unit and a high dependency unit.
Join us on our exciting journey of new developments and expansion at Springfield Hospital**.** Here we provide a wide range of services including Surgery, Medicine, Oncology, Plastic and Cosmetic surgery and Paediatrics. We are continually introducing new technology to ensure we provide the best experience for our patients and support for our hard working teams.
**The role**
You will be an expert in Electrical Engineering and in addition to, having skills in other trade services and will work as part of a team to deliver maintenance services to the hospital units. Predominantly based at Springfield Hospital, the successful Facilities Engineer will provide support and assistance to Oaks Hospital in Colchester and the Eastern Sterile Services Centre in Braintree.
You will participate in an on call rota working 1 week in 6 where you will need to be available to support all three sites. There is an enhancement rate payable for any on call duties.
**What you will bring as a Facilities Engineer**:
- City & Guilds Qualifications or equivalent.
For example: Electrical - C&G 2382, Electrical Installations 18th Edition, C&G 2365 Electro Technical Craft 2365, C&G 2357 level 3 diploma electrical tech, C&G 2377 Electrical equipment maintenance
- Full driver’s license and access to a car is essential
- Previous Hospital Facilities experience is desirable
- Logical and practical approach to challenging situations whilst always putting the safety of patients and colleagues at the forefront of everything
