At Active4Today you will work towards your Leisure Team Member L2 Qualification over the course of 15 Months.
As part of the 15-month programme you will gain the following qualifications;
- National Pool Lifeguard
- First Aid at Work
- Level 2 Gym Instructing
- Level 1 Assistant Swim Teaching
- Level 2 Swim Teaching

Day to Day Responsibilities:

- To assist with the opening up the centre ensuring that all areas are fit for public use
- To assist with locking up the building ensuring all members of the public have vacated and all areas are clean and tidy in preparation for the next day
- Complete comprehensive cleaning of all areas including litter picking outside areas
- To perform lifeguard duties in a vigilant manner
- Complete planned maintenance tasks as set out in the maintenance schedule
- Perform high level/deep cleaning in accordance with the daily check sheets
- Maintain first aid supplies
- Use cleaning machines to ensure to perform specific tasks
- Assist with the co-ordination of children’s holiday activities
- Assist with the promotion any class/session that the Centre is running, and to take/run the class/session if qualified
- Keep Management informed of any accidents/incidents which occur on your shift, and to report any situation which may be a health and safety hazard
- Assist with the marketing and promotion of the leisure centre
- To maintain security of the premises and any equipment therein
- Attend pool lifeguard training once per month and successfully pass pool examinations on a 6th monthly basis
- Be aware of health and safety regulations such as Health and Safety at Work Act 1974, COSHH and Manual Handling
- Report any faults to the Operations manager and complete all relevant paperwork

- Requirements and Prospectus**Desired Skills**

Passionate about leisure and fitness. Must be a strong swimmer, a swim test will be required. Driving License Desired but not essential.

**Qualifications required**

No Qualifications Required - All Training Will Be Provided.
A Level 1 Coaching Qualification is Desirable but not Essential.

**Future prospects**

Further Training and Development within the company on completion of the apprenticeship. Potential of full time employment on completion of the apprenticeship.

Leisure Team Member with Institute of Swimming Apprenticeship L2 including Functional Skills in Maths and English
- About the EmployerActive4Today Ltd was established on 1 June 2015 and is the preferred operator for Newark and Sherwood District Council Leisure Centres and Sports Development. It also provides management support to Southwell Leisure Centre Trust. The Council have ownership of the buildings and are responsible for major structural liabilities.
