Assistant Greenkeeper

**Person Specification**
- Reliable, flexible, and trustworthy with a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, superiors and politely with Hotel guests.
- Have a keen eye for detail.
- Ability to work alone and in a team.
- Driving License essential.
- Good level of fitness that enables you to work outside and be mobile through the day.

**Job purpose**

We are looking to recruit a Greenkeeper/ grounds man to assist the existing team in the day to day upkeep of the sports surfaces based on a 40-hour week, Monday to Friday 7:30am - 3:30pm. Weekend work for the setting up of sports turf surfaces will be required throughout the open season (May until October) on a Rota basis. You will also assist with hedge cutting and other tasks around the grounds depending on business requirements.

**Responsibilities and key outputs**
- Qualification in sports turf or Horticulture.
- Competent in the use and safe operation of common sports turf machinery.
- Ensuring the sports surfaces and formal lawn areas are presented to the best possible condition.
- Daily set up of sports surfaces including bunker raking, lining out tennis lawns, changing holes.

Pay: £24,000.00-£25,000.00 per year
