Job Summary:
**Responsibilities**:

- Reading the Access Rider of who you will be working with.
- Working with BLINK Artists to support them to artistically express themselves and develop performance skills related to the project they’re working on.
- Providing travel support when needed BLINK Artists at the nearest station at the beginning and end of the day in collaboration with the Access and Inclusion Manager, Siobhán.
- Working with BLINK Artists on complying to the tick sheet in collaboration with other Co-Directors, giving particular attention to agency in terms of being a good self-advocate, director of others and supportive and encouraging member of the team, (developing giving meaningful feedback to other members).
- Supporting BLINK Artist communication, including My Choice App on iPad, Makaton signing, making clear decisions from choices.
- Supporting BLINK Artists practically, including: taking jackets off, supporting opening of food at lunch, ensuring toilet visits during break times (rather than mid-rehearsal), timekeeping and keeping track of personal items. **No personal care required.**

Essential
- I have experience supporting learning disabled people.
- I am able to create a trusting and stimulating environment.
- I am organised, with great time management skills.
- I have great verbal communication and knowledge of communication methods such as Makaton signing and assistive technology.
- I would be able to maintain the positive and inclusive ethos of BLINK.
- Willingness to travel within London and the UK as part of the role, as much of the work is in person, and in different locations.

Desirable
- I have experience supporting artists.

As much of the work involves supporting our Black male Co-Directors, we are especially keen to hear from Black male-identifying support workers, who are currently under-represented in our support team.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Freelance

Pay: £20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 10 per week

- Monday to Friday
