**Accounts Trainee - Peterborough (TC Bulley Davey)**

**About the role**:
We have an exciting opportunity for a full time Accounts Trainee to join our Peterborough (TC Bulley Davey) office.

A fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to start your career in accountancy, joining an apprenticeship scheme, you will be working towards an internationally recognised accountancy qualification (AAT Level 3 and 4 with the potential to progress onto ACCA/ACA) and gaining valuable on-the-job experience with a highly respected accountancy firm.

**Key responsibilities of the Trainee Accountant role are**:

- preparing year end accounts for physical or computer records
- preparing corporation tax returns alongside the year end accounts
- maintaining weekly/monthly bookkeeping for clients
- preparing monthly managements accounts for clients
- preparing VAT returns for clients
- preparing personal tax returns for clients
- assisting with office administrative tasks

**About you**:
**We are looking for the following skills and experience**:

- minimum of Grade 4 (or equivalent) in Maths and English at GCSE
- excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office with intermediate Excel skills as a minimum
- strong attention to detail
- self-motivated
- highly personable with excellent communication skills
- organised, efficient with attention to detail
- able to demonstrate drive and initiative
- able to reliably commute to the Peterborough office
