We are looking for a skilled **Maintenance person** for the upkeep of our beautiful hereford care home. A maintenance person’s day-to-day job is extremely varied and could see you painting a wall one day and repairing a broken toilet the next. You will work alongside the owner to help refurbish rooms, but most occasions will be carrying task on your own. We have a small mental health care home in an old building that required constant maintenance and we are looking for a part time maintenance person to join our team.

**Tasks will also include**:

- Changing light bulbs and ensuring other fixtures and fittings are in good working order
- Perform minor fixes such as repairing broken locks, filling gaps on walls etc
- Minor plumbing and carpentry
- Clearing or cleaning general areas
- Maintaining property exterior through the different areas by painting, weed removal, collecting rubbish etc.
- General carpentry work
- Minor maintenance of doors/windows
- Painting, decorating & tiling.
- Assembling and Moving furniture
- Live locally & have transport and their own tools - Essential.

**Hours of work**:We are looking for someone to work Part-time 3 days a week, Hours from 9.00am to 4.30pm. You will be expected to work-on at times in emergencies, and we will pay extra if needed to come back to the house late in the evening/weekend for call-outs.

**Rate of Pay**:To exceed minimum wages - Depending on experience and qualification

**Who we are looking for**:We are looking for somebody who has experience of performing a similar role. Ideally you will be a handy person or have worked in a particular trade previously. You will be a good communicator with a keen eye for detail and be customer focused at all times.

**Salary**: £10.70-£11.50 per hour
