A leading manufacturing business in East Kent is currently looking to appoint a key role to the business in the New Year.

The Material Control Manager will be responsible for driving transformational change through the use of Lean and Six Sigma tools within the factory and will lead efforts to drive continuous improvement and the reduction of waste in all material processes.

Paying £40,000 to £50,000/annum depending on your level of experience and offering an attractive yearly bonus, private medical, 25 days plus bank holidays and a holiday purchase scheme.

Your role will see you collaborating with suppliers, global procurement, operations, factory personnel, engineering, finance, and the Senior Management Team.

You will be a confident leader who will be instrumental in delivering projects in time and on budget whilst driving rapid improvement events that will focus on the materials management processes.

**The Person**
- Proven record in driving lean transformation by eliminating waste and increasing customer orders
- Demonstrate exceptional organisational skills with the ability to multi skill
- Excellent written, oral communication and presentation
- Experience of driving Change Management methodology
- Strong leadership skills and a decisive and proactive problem solver with a confidence around conflict resolution

**Experience and Skills Required**:

- Bachelor's degree in business or engineering discipline
- Must have good understanding of manufacturing material flow in a plant
- Experience in operations, inventory management, MRP and lean manufacturing processes and ideally SAP
- Experience with visual management systems
- Six sigma Green/Black Belt certification preferred
- 3- 5 years of project management and/or manufacturing experience
