In this role, you will be an integral part of our dynamic organisation, supporting the seamless flow of products and services within our global operations.

Role Overview:
As a Graduate Buyer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the efficient supply chain management of products and services. Your responsibilities will encompass coordinating the timely delivery of materials and services to our sites while adhering to the agreed constraints and lead-times between our business and suppliers. You’ll also collaborate closely with our Head of Procurement on various projects, giving you exposure to different facets of the supply chain. This role offers you the opportunity to train across a range of commodities, thereby developing a holistic understanding of our operations.

What You’ll Learn:
Engineering Excellence: Gain expertise in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications, allowing you to understand the technical intricacies of our products.
Materials Mastery: Learn about machining, machine parts, and materials, expanding your knowledge of crucial components in our supply chain.
Efficient Procurement: Familiarise yourself with purchasing workflows and Supplier Relationship Management systems, essential tools for effective procurement.
Problem-Solving Prowess: Acquire problem-solving tools and techniques, honing your ability to identify and resolve challenges while contributing to the overall countermeasure proposal process.
Key Responsibilities:
Act as a bridge between suppliers and the business, ensuring that materials and services are delivered as per agreed plans and schedules.
Participate in cross-functional meetings to present updates on project targets, fostering effective communication between stakeholders.
Utilise key performance indicators (KPIs) and action trackers to manage and elevate supplier performance, ensuring excellence is maintained.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date information in our business systems to drive exception-based purchasing and supply processes.
Qualifications and Experience:
Graduate (preferred) or apprentice trainee, enthusiastic about embarking on a successful career.
An eagerness to learn and a passion for continuous development.
A thirst for knowledge in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
A curiosity about machining, machine parts, and materials, coupled with the drive to expand your expertise.
Willingness to master purchasing workflows and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) systems.
An aptitude for problem-solving tools and techniques, with a commitment to driving effective solutions.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
A proactive attitude, thriving in a collaborative team environment.
