**Veterinary Receptionist - 12 month Fixed-Term**

Millcroft Veterinary Group is a fiercely independent, six centre, mixed practice in the western Lake District.. We have an opportunity for a veterinary receptionist to join our friendly team.

Millcroft Veterinary Group is a member of XLVets, a community of independently-owned veterinary practices.

**Key responsibilities of the role include**:

- Client communication
- Booking appointments
- Dispensing medicines
- Recording client details, taking and recording payments
- Stock monitoring
- Reception area cleanliness

**Skills, knowledge and experience required**:

- Experience of basic clerical duties
- Excellent IT skills
- Ability to work as a member of the team
- Ability to problem solve
- Animal care experience - working with clients, animals and within the veterinary environment (desirable)

**We offer**:

- 12 month fixed term
- Full time position - 38 hour week over 4 days, plus weekends and bank holidays on a rota basis. Part-time would be considered
- Starting salary of £23,000
- Full driving license essential

**Training**:

- You are required to undertake - British Veterinary Receptionist Foundation Training

**Holiday**:

- 5.6 pro-rata weeks of paid holiday per year, including public holidays, with additional allowance for long service.
