Role: General Purpose Marina Operative

Location: Lowestoft, East Anglia

As ABP continue the journey of investing and developing their East Anglia Marina’s, we are looking to recruit a Marina Operative to join our small and dedicated team. We are looking for someone to assist in ensuring we offer our leisure and commercial customers an excellent experience during their stay with us.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Invoicing all marina users for berthing, boat yard services, fuel and gas and ensuring the inhouse berthing system is kept up to date
- Operating the 70T Boat Hoist for lifting operations - these lifting operations include lifting ashore / onto transport, pressure washing, blocking up and launching
- Banksman (Slinger/Signaller)
- Forklift services
- Towing
- Daily marina berth checks
- Selling of fuel and gas
- Ensuring all relevant Safe Systems of Work and Risk Assessments are followed

**Skills & Requirements**

**Essential**
- Excellent communication skills
- Be able to manage time effectively and prioritise tasks, and working outside of normal working hours if required
- Be able to work within a small team
- Confidence in the Microsoft package at basic level (training can be provided)
- Have a good understanding of safety in a workplace
- UK Driving Licence

**Ideal**
- An interest in the marina environment or the desire to learn
- Forklift, Slinger / Signaller and Boat Hoist experience

The shift pattern for this role is structured from Monday to Friday, encompassing a standard workweek. However, it also includes a requirement for weekend and bank holiday shifts, which are distributed among employees on a rotating basis. In total, the workload consists of 40 hours per week, maintaining a consistent daily schedule from 8:00 in the morning until 17:00 in the afternoon. To ensure a healthy work-life balance, there is a one-hour lunch break provided during the shift.
