The Global Panel on Agriculture and Food Systems for Nutrition is seeking to appoint a Policy Research Officer. The Global Panel is an independent group of influential experts with a commitment to tackling global challenges in food and nutrition security and is chaired by Prof Sir John Beddington, former UK Chief Scientific Adviser. The Panel is supported by a Secretariat based within the London International Development Centre (LIDC).

Reporting to the Deputy Director, the Policy Research Officer will be responsible for collating, analysing and helping to synthesise research on the links between agriculture, nutrition and health, liaising with academics and publishers, and supporting the co-ordination of timelines and logistics to ensure delivery of policy briefs and papers on these topics. He or she will have experience conducting research on topics relevant to the Global Panel’s work, and will have prepared publications or policy briefs and reports that effectively synthesise evidence for a scientific and/or policy audience in an international development context.
