An exciting opportunity has arisen to work with the expanding Apprenticeships Norfolk team as an Apprenticeship Project Officer.

This post is a fixed term contract from 1st October 2023 to 31st January 2025 and will be directly co-ordinating the apprenticeship strand of the ‘Working Well Norfolk’ project being delivered by Norfolk County Council. The project will seek to support apprentices with a range of health (mental or physical) conditions, to ensure these do not present a barrier to remaining in work and on their apprenticeship programme.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual who is passionate about supporting employers and apprentices in Norfolk. If you are dedicated, confident in implementing projects and enthusiastic to work in a proactive and creative team, we would love to hear from you. You will have experience working within an apprenticeship environment and be able to demonstrate taking the lead on high impact projects. You will have excellent communication skills and be confident communicating, influencing and building relationships at a range of levels.

You will:

- Lead, manage and co-ordinate the apprenticeship strand of the ‘Working Well Norfolk’ project, contributing to the overall delivery of the NCC Apprenticeships strategy
- Develop and manage operational partnerships with a range of stakeholders, supporting a pilot intervention to increase the effectiveness of the Apprenticeship system in Norfolk, for apprentices aged 18+, to facilitate a reduction in the number of apprentices withdrawing from their programmes.
- Engage, liaise and broker relationships with employers, training providers and apprentices to provide holistic assistance for referrals into ‘Working Well Norfolk’ project
- Work collaboratively with other teams in Growth and Development and external partners to deliver the ‘Working Well Norfolk’ project.

Working in a flexible way is a key feature of this role, with the opportunity to enjoy a blended approach - working from home and also from the office at County Hall. Our technology platform and equipment are first class, enabling you to connect and collaborate remotely. We ask that you have in place good Broadband connectivity.

There will be the requirement to work to be undertaken flexibly at times and in various locations across Norfolk, which may not be on a public transport route.
