An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our small and friendly team for the 2023 shorebird breeding season. Shorebird Wardens have played an important role in the protection of little terns at Gibraltar Point since 1976. Nationally, the Little Tern population continues to decline and without protection would probably disappear from the UK as a breeding species.

This is an entry-level role for someone with a keen interest in birds and natural history; some experience with conservation volunteering and breeding shorebirds is desirable. We need somebody with a positive attitude who has a willingness to fully commit to a busy and challenging season. This is an ideal role for somebody looking to start a career in nature conservation.
