**Casual Specialist Support Worker (Floating Support)**

**Wednesbury**

**£12.15 per hour**

**About the role**

As a Specialist Support Worker you will be responsible for providing early and targeted support to aid the recovery and resilience of individuals with complex and enduring mental health needs. Working flexibly across the city supporting people within their own homes in the community.

You will show a commitment to safeguarding in line with policy and procedure and support customers with life skills empowering them to build successful relationships within their community as they develop skills to better manage their health and wellbeing and increase levels of independence within the community.

**About You**
- A positive attitude around working with people with mental health and supporting recovery focussed support.
- A working knowledge of legislation in regard to delivering support to vulnerable people
- Experience of keeping accurate and compliant records
- A working knowledge of mental health legislation and services, including prevention, early intervention, and crisis management with experience within the mental health sector.
- Excellent communication skills
- An understanding of the health and social care needs of the people receiving the service.
- Delivery of a customer focussed approach
- Ability to work in a target driven environment and deliver the outcomes associated with the contract.
- Experience of working with multi agency partnerships
- An understanding of mental health services, including prevention, early intervention, and crisis management

- Trident Housing, which provides landlord services for the Group in respect of housing management and maintenance

These services include supporting people within registered care, domiciliary care, people with learning difficulties, those with mental health needs, young people at risk, older people, BME groups, people at risk of being homeless, those seeking employability, education and training opportunities and those fleeing domestic abuse.
