General assistant labourer

This role will include assisting me in every day jobs, within a growing company. With roles including grass cutting, hedge cutting, strimming, fencing and patios. You will need to be an enthusiastic individual with the drive to work hard and learn. This role will come with a 3 month training period where the wage will start at £12.50 an hour increasing to £13.50 once training is completed.

General tasks will include working besides me cutting grass, either mowing or strimming, from small private gardens, to commercial business parks. Confidence in using petrol machinery, I e strimmers, mowers and hedge cutters.

Working in customers gardens, installing fences and patios, general labouring duties will include a variety of tasks from digging out, loading out, mixing up sand and cement, digging fence post holes and much more.

All tasks will require a keen eye to detail as you will be working for a company where we take pride in every job we take on.

You will also need to be adapted to working in all conditions, be it cold and wet or warm and sticky, all our work is undertaken out doors.

Customer etiquette is essential and you should be able to communicate well with a variety of different customers.

A general day will normally commence from between 7-7.30, either meeting me at the yard or picking you up if necessary. With the working day starting from 8am and finishing around 5pm. Always the option to pick up overtime through peak season (April-Nov)

Skilled labourer.

As a skilled labourer you should be able to aptly assist me in a variety of jobs, ranging from grass cutting to fencing and patios. Initiative is key, cracking on with tasks that need doing without to much or any assistance, cutting materials, measuring ahead of me. And having everything ready to go as and when it’s needed. A good understanding with a variety of power tools and petrol machinery is essential.

You must take pride in your work within a company where standards are high, every task must be completed to the highest of standards.

You must be confident and well mannered communicating with a variety of customers.

Pay starting from £15 per hour. With the chance to work your way up to a team leader within the company as things progress.

Pay: £26,000.00-£31,000.00 per year
