**What's the Role?**
We are currently recruiting for an experienced full-time **Payroll Specialist** to support the work of the Outsourcing Team. This position offers hybrid working. Part-time hours could be considered.
This is a great opportunity for an ambitious, experienced payroll specialist to continue building their career and client relationships.
They will also provide support, training and guidance to other team members as and when required, to help build and improve upon the existing knowledge base within the firm.

**What else are we looking for?**
Duties would include:
- Maintaining control of job tracking system to ensure the department deadlines in the period are met.
- Assisting colleagues with any payroll queries.
- Managing own portfolio of clients, processing weekly, fortnightly, 4-weekly, monthly and annual payroll runs on the payroll system, following the processes in place from data input, reviewing, reporting and delivering to client. Ensuring client service standards are met.
- Submission of Telepay wages and online banking. Ensuring these are processed in a timely manner for pay day.
- Submission of CIS returns and issuing remittance.
- Processing weekly, 4-weekly and monthly pension uploads to various pension providers.
- Experience of Iris Payroll Professional (Star Payroll), Earnie and Xero is advantageous, but not an essential requirement.
- Assisting clients who process their own payroll with their day to day queries. Experience of other payroll software can assist, i.e. XERO payroll, Sage50 Payroll, Sage One Payroll and Basic Tools etc. Training clients on their use of payroll software may also be required.
- Raising and authorising fees on completion of work.
- Responding and resolving queries from clients and colleagues relating to payroll.
- Keeping up to date with technical and legislative developments in payroll or impacting payroll and cascade this throughout the payroll team and wider business.
- Identifying areas for improvement and implementing new procedures to ensure continuous improvement within the department.
- Maintaining TPR - The Pensions Regulator compliance, processing triennial submissions on behalf of our clients.
