We are looking for an experienced **Packaging Buyer **to join our Procurement Team. This is an integral role as part of our growth and strategic focus on packaging.

In this role, our successful applicant will be working alongside our Commodity Manager, contributing towards and supporting the delivery of our sourcing strategy (think risk management, innovation and recyclability and sustainability) and managing our supplier base.

You would have some experience of supplier evaluation, selection and contract price negotiation; have definitely used an ERP system (we use IFS) for purchase ordering, scheduling, maintaining integrity of the data with an understanding of forecast changes/amendments & impact on raw material stock availability and with a background in packaging, likely to have some experience of different packaging including corrugate and cartons, and different print types.

It goes without saying you will need to be an excellent communicator and influencer and able to build strong working relationships both internally and with our external suppliers. You will display strong commercial acumen and good analytical skills enabling you to draw conclusions and take appropriate action.
