**The Role**
As the Shift Team Leader, you will be responsible for the day-to-day management and performance of the Waste to Energy plant at our Lincoln site.
Maximising the availability and reliability of the plant, you will monitor plant operations and identify opportunities to increase efficiency, safety and environmental performance.
Providing expert leadership, you will co-ordinate production shift activities, supervise the work of Production Technicians and oversee staff recruitment, training and development.
Additionally, you will:

- Utilise 'on shift’ maintenance skills to carry out routine maintenance and repairs
- Produce plant incident reports including defect and fault reporting
- Plan, schedule and co-ordinate plant outages
- Implement HSE initiatives on site
**About You**
To be considered as a Shift Team Leader, you will need:

- A minimum of five years’ power plant operations experience in a supervisory role
- Experience of operating from a control room in a production and/or operational setting
- Knowledge and experience of thermal power plant processes and technical requirements
- Good knowledge of HSE requirements in relation to thermal plant operations and control
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of turbines and generators
- Knowledge and understanding of electrical distribution systems
- Commercial acumen and the ability to prepare investment proposals and manage budgets
- The ability to supervise a small team of personnel effectively
- Computer skills as related to Microsoft Office, Nisoft Eclipse, Gladis and ERP programmes (CMMS)
- At a minimum, an ONC, NVQ, or C&G Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in Engineering
