Our Neonatal Keyworker role provides support to families who have a baby born with a life-threatening condition. We can also offer support to a family who have been given a life-limiting prognosis for their baby during the antenatal period.

Your work base will be Hope House in Oswestry in our bright, homely, active and supportive hospice. Our experienced Neonatal Team work closely with the neonatal and midwifery units within the local areas and will involve raising the profile of the hospice and the neonatal service particularly within hospitals, fostering close working relationships with neonatal and midwifery units.

Salary Range: £19,717 - £24,022 per annum, dependant on skills and experience

Hours: full time 37.5 hours per week

You will be a passionate and caring Neonatal Keyworker, working within our friendly and experienced Pathways team, you will provide support to the Neonatal Lead Nurse in promoting, developing and raising the profile of the hospice neonatal service. You will be flexible in your approach to work and be willing to travel in our local communities and to specialist hospitals as required.

You will have previous experience in a health and social care role or related discipline, particularly with children or young people with life limiting conditions and children’s palliative care. You will have the compassion and communication skills to deliver support with empathy and understanding, putting the needs of the child and their family at the heart of everything you do, so that we are able to provide the right care and support for them, when they need us most.
