Can you help ensure our WBS Undergraduate students are equipped with the confidence, network, knowledge and career management skills to enable them to compete effectively in the global jobs market and maximise their career potential?

With a proven track record in careers or corporate recruitment and development, applicants will need to be excellent communicators with the professional credibility, energy and flexibility of approach to work with a demanding, dynamic and diverse caseload. The ability to work on your own initiative to successfully deliver innovative programmes to prepare students for their future careers and to work with our Employer Relations team to help promote WBS talent to recruiters will be essential. There may also be opportunities to lead on bespoke projects and new initiatives to develop the service and increase student engagement, so tenacity, drive, pro-activity and strong work ethic will also be required.

The role will be based at Warwick University’s campus in Coventry. Warwick University currently operates a hybrid-working policy whereby some days are in the office and some days working from home each week. This is a student-facing role whereby presence on campus is essential for most of the week, especially during term-time.

Some evening and weekend work will be required.

**JOB PURPOSE**

To provide 1:1 and group-based career management, professional development, coaching and workshop support as appropriate to the WBS undergraduate caseload to equip them with the tools and strategies to compete effectively within the global job market and secure positive graduate employment outcomes.

**DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**

Typical inputs will include:

- Assisting undergraduates and alumni to identify career management and professional development goals, draw up individual action plans and identify appropriate online resources to assist in the achievement of these.
- Managing the Undergraduate careers inbox to act as first point of contact for student queries and provide E-guidance as appropriate.
- Undertaking mock interviews.
- Facilitating assessment centre type activities.
- Organisation, design and delivery of skill development and career management workshops.

2. Maintain and develop expertise and specialist knowledge of graduate career paths and global employability trends in order to enable students to make effective transitions into their chosen careers, based on an accurate understanding of the global labour market and available opportunities.

3. Actively participate in and contribute to the WBS marketing and recruitment process on behalf of WBS CareersPlus, by offering expertise from a careers perspective, interviewing prospective students as required and participating in selection days and recruitment events including open days.

5. Other comparable duties and projects as defined by the WBS CareersPlus Director and Careers Manager.
