- Gi Group have an exciting new opportunities for a number of General Operatives working within our despatch area of our operations team based at Cheltenham, reporting to the Product Line Leader.
- Job details for Packer position:
- £10.42 per hour
- Monday - Thursday: 8am - 5pm
- Friday: EARLY FINISH: 8am - 1pm
- 30 minute lunch break + 15 minute additional break
- Experience desirable but not essential
- Based on a production line, packing goods
- Full induction provided - Manual handling training, HSE training.
- Steel toe cap boots required for site

Key responsibilities and duties are to:
- Pick, Pack and Despatching of product to customers
- To observe Health and Safety rules, which must be adhered to at all times, and ensuring work areas are kept clean and tidy and free from potential hazards.
- Notify Team Leader / Supervision of any faulty or non-functioning machinery and equipment, and at the same time exercise care and attention when operating machinery.
- Ensure that customer orders are met on a timely basis, ensuring that all goods meet the required quality standards.
- Observe the Company Quality and Environmental standards, procedures and guidelines in all areas of production activity, together with monitoring quality and consistency of output on an on-going basis.
- Be prepared to assist in other areas from time-to-time dependant on demand, if required to do so and according to training received in order to help meet deadlines.
- In accordance with training received, operate a variety of machines and tools used in the various stages of the production process, and according to job instructions.- Have proven experience within a fast paced manufacturing facility
- Have a positive 'can do' attitude
- Possess a good eye for detail and be able to spot defects and faults
- Possess the ability to record numerical data
- Be able to co-operate and work well in a team
- Must have energy, enthusiasm and commitment
