Buyer - Manufacturing

We are hiring immediately for a Buyer - a role that is critical in making sure our customers get the electricity, heating and cooling they need.

This is a critical role within the Manufacturing Procurement Function. The role is to support the needs and demands of our key manufacturing sites (In-house and 3rd Party), you will work closely with planning and production to meet ever changing manufacturing needs, to ensure suppliers are driving to meet SLA’s and KPI’s.

What you’ll do:
- Procurement of direct and indirect materials, services, and capital equipment to support the business requirements in line with the source to contract procurement cycle- Provide purchase order support to internal customers and vendors- Efficient prioritisation and completion of all associated documents and communications, to ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing- Negotiate with potential suppliers- Support inventory optimisation, utilising analysis regarding slow moving/non-moving, excessive stock items, and items low in stock- Build and maintain excellent relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders- Implement and drive our technology adoption agenda- Supporting a culture of Continuous Improvement within the team to enhance the business delivery

What we are looking for:
Ideally you will have 3+ years’ experience in a busy and dynamic procurement environment with an excellent understanding of MRP’s from a fast-paced manufacturing environment. CIPS or Supply Chain qualification would be advantageous but are not essential for this role. You will have excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and strive to deliver excellence though procurement practices and stakeholder engagement. You will have a track record of delivering added value to tight timelines as well as working efficiently and smart. Providing an enhanced customer service internally and externally with strong stakeholder engagement across all levels of an organisation.
