Catholic schools are welcoming places to pupils and members of staff from all faiths and none. More than a quarter of a million pupils and almost half of teachers in Catholic schools are not of the Catholic Faith.

St Aelred’s is part of the Nicholas Postgate Catholic Academy Trust (NPCAT), a family of 38 schools and a sixth form from across the north of the Diocese of Middlesbrough. With 12,300 pupils and 1,500 staff, the Trust is one of the North-East’s largest Catholic Trusts.

We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Lunchtime Supervisor who is committed to making a difference to the lives of our children.
- Embrace and uphold the vision and ethos of our Catholic school
- Be a good role model
- Monitor the behaviour of pupils and to have the highest regard for pupil safety and well-being
- Have high expectations of pupil behaviour
- Be able to communicate sensitively
- Encourage and assist pupils to eat their lunch, providing special attention for those with additional needs, including dietary requirements
- Lead on playground games and activities, encouraging socialising and play

The school is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We require the successful applicant to undertake an enhanced Criminal Record check via the Disclosure and Barring Service.
