EXPERIENCED GANGER REQUIRED- Immediate Start/ Self Employed

Working on behalf of City Fibre applicants will be required to perform excavations in the public highways, installation of ducting, chambers and street cabinets and the installation of telecoms infrastructure across Bournemouth, Poole and Christchurch.

**Requirements and Responsibilities**:

- Provide new installation of duct, chambers, cabinets & associated equipment.
- Clear blockages in the highway and reinstate to industry standard ensuring all information / pictures are captured.
- Experience in a similar operational or engineering environment within the telecommunications industry, including the use of Stihl Saws / Wacker plates / trench compactor / mini digger / jack hammer and hold the correct certification.
- Complete appropriate paperwork for your daily works (job sheets / risk assessments / plant sheets / van sheets)
- Experience of risk assessment and hazard identification and a strong focus on health and safety requirements and responsibilities.
- To be responsible for the company assets & plant assigned to you for the purpose of the work.
- To be able to communicate effectively and professionally with internal and external clients. As well as showing internal and external customers with respect.
- Ensure all works are carried out to required industry standards.
- Must have good knowledge of sign/lighting & guarding.
- Maintain company SHEQ standards to ensure continued compliance with legislation and industry standards.
- Driving license essential
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in ground works within the utility sector
- CSCS Card
- Streetworks/ - NRSWA - Signing, Lighting and Guarding (SLG)
- SA001 Overhead safety
- SA002 Underground safety
- 360 Excavator tickets
- Cat & Genny
- Can do attitude with a strong work ethic

All onboarding training will be provided

Pay: £10.00-£20.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Schedule:

- Monday to Friday
- Overtime
