**Job Title**: SHEQ Officer

**Location**: Birmingham

**Hours**: Office hours Monday to Friday

Overview of the role:
The Company’s SHEQ Officer is responsible for the day to day running of all aspects of Health & Safety, Environment, Quality, Security, Business Continuity and Training.

You will administer and manage systems to provide audit feedback on our systems and develop their implementation further. In addition, you will provide support and guidance to employees in relation to compliance with company’s certificated and non-certificatedmanagement systems.

In this role you will be required travel to other branches, located across the Midlands and London as well as visiting sites where their engineers and subcontractors are undertaking works for customers nationwide.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

- Contribute to the management and ongoing certification for the following systems:

- ISO 9001:2015
- ISO 14001:2015
- ISO 45001:2018
- Lifts Regulations
- Business Continuity Management
- Undertake an annual programme of internal audits for all systems
- Support the administration of the vehicle fleet when required
- Administer waste disposal as part of the ISO 14001 system
- Administer an annual training programme, training provision and records including the delivery of in house training and tool box talks
- Assess applicants for inclusion in our approved list of subcontractors
- Measure, monitor and collate KPIs for all of the SHEQ systems
- Produce generic and specific COSHH assessments, Risk Assessments and Method
- Statements for works the Company undertakes
- Incident investigation and implement corrective actions
- Produce Construction Phase Plans and Operation and Maintenance Manuals for site works with assistance from the construction department
- Be prepared to regularly work away from the Birmingham office base
- Carry out responsibilities in a safe and proper manner both for self and for the well-being of others.
- Work with the branches managers, their administration and engineering teams as required
- To participate in an out of hours rota for calls from mobile operatives if they require advice on SHEQ or Fleet matters
- Be involved in the development of SHEQ related worksheets and templates.
- Attend and take part in the employee committee covering health, safety, welfare and environmental matters.
- Alignment of company processes with parent group
- This list is not exhaustive, and the jobholder will be expected to undertake any duties within their capacity to meet the needs of the business and/or the Management function.

**Requirements**:

- Demonstrable experience in Health & Safety within construction
- NEBOSH General Certificate Qualified as a minimum
- Experienced working with QMS ideally ISO 9001, 14001 & 45001
- Knowledge of Construction (Design & Management) Regulations and associated documentation
- Experience in the construction or manufacturing industries would be beneficial
- Experience liaising with customers and subcontractors
- Be competent user of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other software packages to record, report upon and present data
- Full driving license
