Sport in Mind is the UK's leading mental health sports charity, delivering physical activity projects in partnership with the NHS to promote mental wellbeing, improve physical health, combat social isolation, and empower people to move their lives forward in a positive direction.

Our services are co-designed by people with personal experience of mental health problems and healthcare professionals, and we have supported over 20,000 people.

We are seeking a dedicated Education Coordinator to coordinate and deliver engaging and informative workshops and assemblies in schools for key stages 2, and 4 across the Southeast of England. The primary goal of this role is to educate young people about the important links between physical activity and good mental health, empower them to make positive changes, and promote the work of Sport In Mind while representing the charity's values and ethos.

- **Job Purpose**_

We are seeking a dedicated Education Coordinator to coordinate and deliver engaging and informative workshops and assemblies in schools for key stages 2, and 4 across the Southeast of England. The primary goal of this role is to educate young people about the important links between physical activity and good mental health, empower them to make positive changes, and promote the work of Sport In Mind while representing the charity's values and ethos.

- Responsible to Head of Operations
- **Main Duties and Responsibilities**_

1. Developing engaging and appropriate educational resources for SIM for a range of age groups and abilities.

2. Updating resources to ensure they remain relevant and in-line with current statistical evidence.

3. Keeping an up-to-date database of school and college contacts and build on existing relationships.

4. Build and lead an educational delivery team for different regions.

5. Plan and deliver workshops, presentations and assemblies at a variety of educational settings to promote the work of sport in mind and educate young people on the importance of movement for their mental health.

6. Collect and collate feedback from schools after running workshops and assemblies.

7. Meet with a range of partners to create new educational frameworks for SIM.

8. Work with partners to deliver engaging sports sessions and workshops for multi-school events.

9. Promote Youth Journals and other relevant SIM resources.

10. Promote and maximise fundraising opportunities in educational settings

**Person Specification**
- **Qualifications/Education/Training**_
- Degree or relevant experience
- Safeguarding qualification (desirable but can be obtained through Sport in Mind)
- **Experience**_
- Previous experience in teaching, coaching, or workshop facilitation, especially in a youth setting.
- Advocate sport and physical activity benefits for physical and mental health
- Experience working with children and young people is highly desirable.
- **Skills, Abilities & Competencies**_
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Enthusiastic, approachable, and capable of engaging young audiences.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with schools and other partners.
- Organised and detail-oriented to manage schedules and administrative tasks.
- Passion for promoting mental health and physical well-being.
- **Specific Working Requirements**_
- This role requires frequent travel to schools within the Southeast (especially Berkshire, Oxfordshire and Hampshire)
- A valid driver's license and access to a reliable vehicle is essential.
- Hours will vary depending on demand

**Salary**: £28,000.0
