**Role Purpose**
- To provide coding, summarising, medical secretarial and administrative support in a timely manner according to Practice policies and protocols.

**Role Responsibilities**
- Identify relevant clinical information contained in patient related correspondence and sorting clinical letters according to the Practice protocols.
- Code the appropriate clinical information accurately on to the patient record and follow up any actions contained within the correspondence according to Practice protocols and GP workflows.
- Ensure that all QOF related data is captured.
- Summarising new patient records to a high standard and according to set protocols and timescales agreed by the Practice.
- Checking and ensuring the integrity of electronic records received from other GP Practices.
- Assisting GPs with queries related to medical records.
- Typing medical referral letters or information as required, Medical Terminology training given.
- Making urgent online 2 week wait and rapid access chest pain bookings via eRS, to check progress alongside routine of booking regularly and file completed bookings in appropriate folder.
- Contribute to the auditing and constructive feedback process and attending meetings as required.
- Registration of new patients and processing of patient records both into and out of the Practice
- Updating and maintaining patient records
- Processing online access to patient care records
- 1st line basic IT, progressing onto 2nd line IT over time
