As SHEQ Co-Ordinator you will be responsible for updating and maintaining SHEQ systems and processes within the business ensuring good practice and legal compliance is maintained across all sites.

Supporting the SHEQ Manager, your philosophy will be one of continual improvement across all levels of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality, playing a vital role in maintaining a safe environment that achieves the best results for all. We’d like you to hold a NEBOSH general certificate or be working towards this and have experience, knowledge and understanding of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality legislation and best practice.

You’ll be a strong team player with good analytical and problem-solving skills. You’ll have exceptional organisational skills, be able to communicate clearly, manage your own workload and work under pressure.

**Responsibilities for the role include**:

- To continuously monitor, maintain and improve systems and processes for Safety, Health, Environment & Quality.
- Communicate with and engage colleagues on SHEQ matters.
- Conduct internal audits, reviews and assessments of policies and procedures across company sites.
- Prepare and support colleagues for external audits carried out by third parties.
- Support & maintain the company ISO 9001 accreditation.
- Drive and promote, raising awareness across all levels of the organisation, of the impacts of Safety, Health, Environment and Quality issues, in terms of legal and statutory compliance and voluntary compliance.
- Record and investigate all safety and environmental accidents, incidents or near misses. Identify the root causes and promote the lessons learned recommending changes to policies and procedures if required.
- Organise and oversee planned preventative maintenance and occupational health monitoring.
- Manage the SHEQ departments administration ensuring all records are accurate and readily available upon request.
- Facilitate and deliver safety communications such as toolbox talks and safety bulletins.

**Requirements for the role include**:

- Hold a relevant professional qualification NEBOSH General Certificate or similar, or be working towards this.
- Knowledge and understanding of legal regulations and best practice relating to Safety, Health, Environment and Quality.
- ISO 9001, ISO 14001 experience - Qualified internal auditor, or prepared to attain.
- Ability to plan, prioritise and organise own workload.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Computer literate, Microsoft Office 365, and other platforms.
- Team player.
- First aid training advantageous but not essential.
- Experience of working within a Production/Factory Environment advantageous.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: £25,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
