In the role of SENDCO you’ll predominantly be based at our Waterfront Campus but will work across all sites and your focus will be on delivering exceptional SEND support to identified adult and apprentice students.

Your key responsibilities will be; managing the ALS/AEB processes, undertaking quality audits within your area to ensure a consistent SEND approach, managing a team of staff, and liaising with both external agencies and curriculum teams.

Ideally, you’ll have an HE qualification in SEND and be able to demonstrate experience in leading a SEND team within a post 16 setting. It is important that you are able to communicate effectively, encourage high aspirations, be able to manage change, work with all areas of the college to move towards a whole college SEND approach. It is also important that you are able to demonstrate our College values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence in your role.
