**About Us**
**About the role**
This role’s primary objective is to work across Ocado to ensure the best value and acceptable levels of service are received from products and services purchased, through a robust Vendor Management lifecycle process. As an IT Buyer in the Group IT department you will be involved in all aspects of IT Hardware, Project, Software and services purchasing activities, from planning, supplier selection and purchasing to contract and supplier management.
**In this role you will**:
- Follow and implement processes as required that ensure timely and effective procurement.- Raise and manage POs through the approval process accurately.- Take ownership of project issues to the point of resolution.- Send orders to suppliers, explaining delivery requirements.- Track orders/chase ETA’s.- Investigate delivery delays.- Attending weekly meetings with project managers and suppliers.- Work closely with accounts to ensure invoice issues are sorted in a timely manner.- File copies of new order forms/contracts.- Resolve any import/custom issues/charges.- Maintain levels of inventory for live projects to determine material and part requirements and shortages.- Working with the IT Vendor Management team you will identify savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing, and support services.- Collect information for budgeting, contract negotiations, and cost comparisons and produce regular reports.- Run small to medium size ITT’s / RFQ’s exercises negotiating & agreeing contract Terms.
**About you**
**We’d love to hear from you if you have**- Proven track record in providing contract / procurement administration- A good understanding of contracts / procurement process- An understanding of IT hardware/software and maintenance/ support services- Ability to prioritise workload against business/project requirements and key customers- Natural ability to provide high quality customer service- Proven track record in liaising with external suppliers including B2B
**It would be great but not essential if you have **- CIPS qualification Level 5 or working towards, an appreciation of ITIL
