We are currently looking to recruit **an Operations Supervisor** to support our busy cold store operation, assisting in the day to day running of the cold stores to provide a service to our customers in which we can ensure their products are handled in a safe and effective manner, with minimum delay to ensure an efficient cold chain at all times. This role will be working on a rotating day shift pattern. Shift pay is applicable in addition to the base salary where relevant.

Our supervisors are part of the key team workers that keep the vital food supply chain flowing. The role is truly collaborative, being varied and diverse. You will be working as part of a shift team, working alongside the Cold store Managers and administration teams, managing the operation and the Operatives to ensure that we not only achieve but challenge our productivity daily.

**Responsibilities**:

- Supervise and work alongside cold store staff.
- Ensure that all staff in your remit are inducted, trained, and monitored in safe working practices.
- Work with cold store staff on your shift to pick, pack, and scan orders
- Manage efficiently to meet customers’ requirements by checking good in and out against relevant documentation.
- Responsible for resolving conflict within the team, managing poor performance, absence etc.
- Loading / Unloading deliveries and supervising staff to do the same.
- Work closely with Cold store Managers and deputise when required.
- Prepare and complete orders in accordance with the schedule (load, pack, wrap, label and ship)
- Operate warehouse vehicles, machinery, and equipment.
- Stock takes and audits as required and requested.
- Allocation and delegation of tasks
- Work as a team to ensure an efficient cold chain service, minimising delays.
- Ensure that the Company policies regarding Quality, Environment, Health & Safety etc are maintained at all times, including all standards and procedures required by accrediting bodies i.e., BRC.

**Requirements**:

- Previous warehouse / cold store experience
- Pervious supervisory experience
- Previous Health and Safety experience would be advantageous.
- FLT licence would be advantageous.
- Reach truck, Counterbalance and POEP licences preferred.
- Must be able to demonstrate flexibility and reliability.
- Good written and verbal communication skills
