**The job**

Reporting to the **Head of Skills, Sectors & Technology **on a day to day basis, you'll be involved in the following:

- Articulating ACCA's point-of-view externally on matters pertaining to economic analysis and related commentary
- You will own the quarterly delivery of the Global Economics Conditions Survey (GECS)
- You will support various high-profile narratives that speak directly to ACCA's corporate strategy and external positioning
- Providing economic analysis and commentary on major budget announcements in the UK or elsewhere, climate change and green finance, post-pandemic fiscal policy, international trade, or policy implications of central bank digital currencies
- Advising and guiding internal stakeholders on the delivery of key messages relevant to ACCA's audiences
- Contribute to continuous improvement of processes and developing key reports & outputs
- Working closely with, and influencing, key external stakeholders to ensure ACCA's contribution to the development of policy and practice in key and topical issues pertaining to the economy

**The person**

We're looking for someone who:

- At least 5 years' experience as a professional economist in a financial services, corporate, government, think tank or consultancy environment
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- An ability to explain complex economic concepts and trends to a non-economist audience in an engaging and compelling manner
- Curiosity and interest in areas like sustainability/green finance, public finances and debt sustainability, digital currencies. Experience is an advantage but not essential.
- International mindset, with an equal interest in both advanced economies and emerging markets.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Powerpoint).
- Knowledge of international economic databases.
- Be personable and credible to present to ACCA's senior leadership (CEO and the Executive Team)
