**Salary**: £50-60k pro rata

Responsibilities:

- Ownership and responsibility for the Finance function
- Development of the financial strategy, ensuring legal and regulatory compliance
- Line management and development of a small team
- Ownership and production of financial reporting, including management accounts, project reporting, short and long term forecasting, budgeting & KPIs
- Streamlining and automating KPI reporting
- Production of monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, accruals and prepayments, revenue stream and profitability analysis
- Financial modelling to aid decision making and improve efficiencies
- Preparation of year end statutory accounts and liaising with external accountants to ensure timely filing at Companies House
- Corporation Tax computations and liaising with external accountants to ensure timely filing with HMRC
- Preparation of annual R&D tax credits claim
- Working with Projects team to protect cashflow, review profitability and cost variances for feeding back into the Sales team to improve future project costing
- Continuously improve financial controls
- Payroll and pension administration including P11ds and PSA submissions to HMRC
- Purchasing currency and forward contract to against exchange rate risk
- Manage external relationships with bank, external accountants, R&D tax advisors and insurers

Requirements:

- ACA/ACCA/CIMA Qualified - post qualified experience
- Hands on experience within an SME
- Strong Excel & financial modelling skills
- Sage 200 experience
- Experience with data analysis tools such as Pan Intelligence/Power BI - advantageous
