**About the role**

Jonah care services has a great opportunity for passionate and dedicated individuals to join our team as a Driver/ Support Worker at the Day Centre in Barnet, London. We provide support for young adults with learning and physical disabilities including. We are looking for a reliable and friendly driver who have a desire to deliver an excellent customer service to all our service users. This role is to transport Young Adult with disabilities from their homes to and from our day centre & support them whilst at the centre or in the community.
Whilst we will provide full training it would be great if you experience of working with vulnerable young adults.
You will need to be safety focused as caring for the service users is paramount. You will need to be friendly and helpful as you will be working with others in the team to deliver this service and it is important that everyone you deal with feels comfortable and reassured.
You will primarily be collecting and returning young adult from home.
Enhanced DBS will be provided if you don’t already have it in place.

The normal working hours would be **35-45 hours per week**, Monday to Friday. Between 7:00 am - 4:30 pm. There are multiple shifts available from **30hr - 45hr **per week. **Guaranteed Hours.**

**MUST HAVE A VALID UK D1 DRIVERS LICENSE**

Jonah care services is a Day Centre/Outreach and respite home, which is the base for a huge variety of social activity-based sessions, it is located within the heart of the local community and is a short walk from Barnet high street and Barnet hospital.

Sessions are tailor-made to suit individual or group needs, so you could be supporting somebody out on a day trip to Thorpe Park or bowling one day and in the Day Centre the next.

Other activities on offer to the people we support include IT, basic literacy and numeracy, gardening, cooking, music activities, communication practice, art activities, sensory environments and to access facilities in the local community. You will also provide varying levels of support with personal care tasks.

**Training and Experience**

1-year minimum care experience.

Experience with challenging behaviours.

Licence/Certification:

- Category D1 Licence with no more than 3 points (required

(Additional Training will be provided)

**MUST HAVE A VALID UK D1 DRIVERS LICENSE**
