**Main Purpose**:
Ensure planning, supervision and safe execution of lifting operations allocated to the individual. (in accordance with LOLER) (Ensure lifts under your control are suitably planned, supervised and executed in a safe manner.)

**Main Responsibilities**:
Understand legislation, site policy and work activity standards for lifting and plant operations. Challenge personnel who are witnessed to breach standards. (The standards you walk past is the standard you accept. Do not walk past something that is not to standard.)

Work with Lifting Services to identify demand for lifting plans and solutions. Work alongside customers to achieve suitable solution on time that are safe and efficient.

Take part in planning meetings and where required control / input into planning tool for the area in which you operate.

**Technical**:
Plan lifting operations in line with British Standards and lifting equipment operating instructions. Identify hazards and mitigate these through the use of control measures. Any plan should be documented in a way that allows it to be easily communicated to the workforce at a level they understand.

Enforce standards for personnel supervising and executing lifting operations. Understand standards and communicate these to operational personnel in lift plans. Continue to review (watching the game) and raise standards. (Auditing)

Identifying required resources to undertake lifting activities. Ensure all those involved in the lifting activity are briefed and understand the task at hand. This activity can be passed to crane supervisor but the responsibility remains with AP. Verify resources are in place and operating in line with Lift Plan.

Manage lift plans in line with standard set by lifting services management team. This requires AP to monitor open lift plans and close completed plans in line with Lift Plan Register. Archiving of plans should be done in accordance with filing standards.

**Skills / Qualifications**:
**Essential**:

- HND, BSc or BEng (Hons) within a relevant discipline, or time served with 5+ years hands on experience within a relevant trade.
- Excellent communication skills to enable effective liaison with clients, vendors and other members of staff.
- Effective in dealing with commercial and management aspects of the role
- Careful and meticulous professional, and a motivated self-starter

**Desirable**:

- Offshore/Onshore experience

**Job Types**: Full-time, Fixed term contract
