The Role

Nigel Wright's Supply Chain and Procurement Team are delighted to be working exclusively with a well established, successful ecommerce business to recruit a Merchandiser.
The Client will support 3 days' working on site, 2 days home-based working.

The Business

The Merchandiser will work closely alongside the buyer and will be responsible for developing, planning and delivering a commercially focused range to meet the needs of our customers.

Day to day responsibilities include:

- Manage a multi range planning cycle for all stock, ensuring targets are met
- Ordering raw materials ensuring good arrive on time for production and are to a high quality
- In depth sales analysis, evaluating historical data to forecast optimally
- Identify risks and opportunities and incorporate these into our current planning processes
- Understand costings, fabric prices, consumption and fit amend implications
- Ensure the team are reactive to market changes and challenges
- In collaboration with our technical team, ensure that suppliers deliver on their commitment to quality, sustainability, and ethical standards
- Manage the key profit drivers, sales margin, and stock turnover

The Individual

The successful merchandiser will be/ have:

- Experience in fashion, têxtile or consumer goods
- Strong commercial and analytical skill
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build good relationships with internal stakeholders and suppliers
- Dynamic, flexible and adaptable approach - accustomed to an environment in which processes are fluid and require structuring
- Experience in planning and stock management
- Excellent excel skills
